Changing the card currency

Sorry if this question has already been asked multiple times, but i am going to Canada this summer and i will be taking my curve card with me so i can spend my money abroad without incurring any additional charges.

However i have seen on some places that it is best to change the currency of the card to the country you are going to and some places say not to do that.

This is just to ask what would be best in this situation.

Many thanks for your help in advance.

If your underlying card behind Curve is a “multi-currency card” or have “interbank fx rates” (such as Revolut), it’s best to set the same currency as the country you’re in.

If not, or you don’t know, it’s probably better to set the currency to the one that the card is issued in.

Many thanks @balboah.
