So I just received new card (with new design) and wanted it to update it in the Garmin Pay just to find out that the new number is already there. The PAN/BIN has changed with the replacement. Is there any possibility that Garmin updates the card automatically upon renewal?

This feature is called ABU (Automatic Billing Updater) and is provided by MasterCard.

It helps companies to still charge you even if you forgot to update your card details. (Card updates have strict rules, as far as i know this doesnt work in case of a card re-issue because of fraud.)

Oh, makes sense with the fraud/cancelation but still - neat feature (and it’s nice to know I’m not loosing my mind
