Metal account blocked despite verification: Lack of support response

I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service provided by Curve. Despite providing all necessary identity verification, my account has been blocked without any explanation. Moreover, attempts to reach customer support via email have been futile and I have yet to receive a response.

Hey there,

Unfortunately we can’t check your account on the forum as we’re Curve users just like you!

It’s best to get in touch with the support team through your app or through Twitter DM (@AskCurve) so they can take a look!

Alternatively, you can use the form on the support website to redirect your query to the correct team:

Please do let us know how you’re getting on!

I would stop the Metal fee being taken until the issue is resolved as it could be months before you get your account back and in the meantime Curve will still charge you the fee despite you not being able to use the service.

Hey, thank you for the advice!

When I try to downgrade my subscription, Curve chatbot warns I would pay £50 card fee to cover the cost of shipping and manufacturing of the card. So either I pay 50 pounds to downgrade the subscription or Curve will continue to charge me the subscription fee each month. Is there any way around this?

Needless to say, I feel ever more frustrated with Curve.

If you’re a Curve Metal customer, on a monthly subscription, you’ll need to give us 1 months’ notice before you can close your account. If you cancel or downgrade your Curve Metal account in the first six months after subscription – you will also be charged a Curve Metal card fee to cover the cost of ordering and delivering the metal card. If you cancel after the first six months have elapsed – this cost is on us. If you are on a Curve metal annual plan, you will not be able to cancel in the middle of your subscription period (except for the cooling off period).

On closing your account, you still need to pay us any fees you owe us or any transactions that have not yet completed. You’ll also need to make sure you cancel any outgoing payments you don’t want to pay anymore.

If any balance is still remaining on your account when your account is closed you can request to have these funds returned to a bank account in your name, subject to our checks. You forfeit your rights on these funds if you do not claim these funds within 6 years from the date your account was closed. During this period your funds will be kept safe as required by law.

@Arcento Hi, thank you for the information. Do you think it is fair for Curve to charge monthly subscription fee on a blocked account?
