Suspect transaction

The other days I received a notification of a transaction that had been rejected by Amazon.com (in Curve app it is shown as Amazon Digital), but as I am in the UK this was obviously a suspect transaction, plus I hadn’t bought anything on Amazon anyway. The worrying thing was though was that that same day I received a new Curve card as my old one had expired. Was this pure coincidence? I emailed Support but have not yet received a reply.
