We've launched Google Pay

Are you sure you’re typing the correct CVC number?

Yes, I have used Curve + G Pay with two different underlying cards that don’t support G Pay by themselves. And also one which does. Does not seem to make any difference.

Same with my 5375 9000 card. Does not work.

@MattWearmouth @frankblaeser I have exactly the same problem. UK user with that card number start but can’t set up contactless. Sent a message to support but no reply as yet.

Yes from the UK.

Email support@curve.app and they can look into this for you.

That’s curious  Have you had the chance to write Customer Support so they can find out what happened for you?

In theory, it should work. We’d love to get to the bottom of it. Could you please send the Support Team a message so they can help you our and fix whatever needs to be sorted out?

A-ha-ha-ha, noooo :sob:

Oh should the Google Pay colour reflect which Curve product we have? Mine is dark blue and I assumed they were just all that colour, but I’m Legacy Black. Obviously not an issue but I didn’t realise the colour might vary!

I sent a message yesterday and have had a reply saying they are looking into it.

One more data point. Is in Sweden with card number included 9000. Could set up Google pay and pay at our local supermarket COOP with SAS Mastercard as the underlying card without any problem.

Is there a £30 limit on this?

About Google Pay and Country (£30 in UK) PINless limit - depends of phone’ status:

  • locked phone and screen off: No NFC payments.
  • locked phone and screen ON: Like phisical card (PINless <= Limit > Curve phisical card PIN required on POS device.)
  • unlocked phone - PINless at any amount

Thank you!

I’ve had a support agent on the phone and I tried adding my card, explaining exactly what I could see on my screen at each step. He was baffled as the decline he could see looked like an incorrect expiry date, yet when I confirmed the date I was entering he said it was correct!

He’s sending a new card out in case it’s anything to do with that. (It’s one of the early beta ones.)

So who fixed it, Curve or Google? What was the issue? Did you require a new card?

Google Pays worked flawlessly for the week or so I’ve had it, thank you for all the hard work Curve team

Same here (Black physical card but the card image in GPay looks dark blue)

Here in Sweden Google Pay is working flawlessly, but there is a problem with the implementation.
If you have any loyalty cards where you must register a card number to automatically recieve bonuses then it doesn’t work to use Google Pay as Google/Curve send a Google Pay virtual card number to the merchant and not your Curve Card number. You are only able to see the last 4 digits of the Google Pay virtual card number in the Google Pay app and there is no way of finding out the whole number so you can’t register that number as the one to use on your loyalty card.

You can check card number with any NFC reader, on PC or second phone

Works just fine in Hungary  I have 5375 9000.
